Today I played some 25NL with a incredible player... He would pay all ins preflop with any 2 cards over and over again.... He did not fold once, lol... But he was also bulletproof.... He managed to "grind" his 25$ stack all the way to 250$ and at that point we left the table and joined a 100NL 6max table. There the crazy preflop all ins stopped and where replaced by 100VPIP "small ball" preflop poker and combined with overbetting every hand postflop. I managed to lose 100$ vs him at the 25NL table and an addittional 200$ at the 100NL table. I am going to post a few of the hands below. So probably after this session, this week my challenge will not go as planed.
sick Villian!
ReplyDeleteFew week ago i also had one of those "special players" running beyond godlike.
He sit down with under 20€ at my NL25 FR euro table and and run insane lucky the next hours!

Reverse bumhunting
ReplyDeletehahaha +1 to pita!
DeleteNah.....This guy was not reverse bumhunting because after he stacked me he lost his 400+$ stack in the next 4 hands staking off vs other regs with stuff like 4th pair.
DeleteHi danuuutz=) A quick question: A 13/10 average reg opens from EP, everyone fold to us in the BB. Do you flat every pp in this spot ?
ReplyDeleteHI. Only sometimes. Depends on what size they make it. The 4x guys I probably flat the least, 3x more and 2x the most. With the smallest baby pair you also have to take into conideration theposibility of set over set and the fact that vs good regs you wont get all the money in with crushing equity when you hit your set all the time.
DeleteYes, but the guys who only stack of sets vs you its probably very profitable to "rep a set" on good boards when you dont flop a set. Or what do you think ?
DeleteYes. That is a good ideea. The problem with most regs at 25-50NL is that they are suspicios and they tend to peel 1-2streets with top pair and overpairs just in case hero bluffs. So most the time we need to raise and than put out multiple barells to take it down(and villains adjust to this by slowplaying their own sets).
DeleteVs them is probably the opposite thought ? =) If they are suspisious with overpairs and bare overcards, its profitable to just setmine ? The hard work though is to get the spesific read.so we can filter the call happy regs, and fold happy regs. My blind play up to this point has been to use the "fold vs flop raises" and when i get a good sample i start to call all pairs from the blinds. Vs those with high numbers i play back at more, and vs those with low i just setmine. When i don`t have a good sample size i fold 22-77 HU. What do you think about this play ?
Delete*overcards = top pairs
DeleteAnd yes, i also use WTSD stats when deciding which play i make here.
DeleteI dont know what to say man.... I watched some midstakes 6max videos with very agro regs and even they find ithard to allways make a profit with small pocket pairs. I think the best way to go is to sometimes play them and sometimes let them go. This way we have a balanced range. The easiest way to find out if you should play them or not is to run a filter in holdem manager and see if you are making a profit with them so far.
Deleteawesome blog dan, would be much appreciated if join my brand new blog aswell, iluvthrill ;)
ReplyDeleteI have a good sample size on you, and found out that you`re playing very loose from EP compare to others, and very tight in LP compare to others. Is this a sample size issure, or your actual play style that you`re having so much succsess with ?
ReplyDeletehaha...that ep-lp stuff is crazy....I open 6% from ep, 8% from mp and I steal 29%... I am probably the most positionally aware player at 25NL.....
DeleteHehe okey, thought so. BTW do you find the regular games more softer than zoom ?
DeleteNot really...They are probably the same.... This week 100%of my winnings come from zoom and I broke even at normal tables.
