I bubbled the PCA qualifier today

Today I lost the biggest flip of my life. I used the pokerstars depositors promotion to get a free 10$ ticket in the qulifier that offered 10 packages to the PCA2013, worth 16.000$ each, and managed to finish 57th out of 18.354 players.

This result is the best I had, so far, in a tournament on pokerstars. I was very lucky to have tables filled with average regs and a couple of semifish. Until now in all tourneys with over 10$ buy-in on stars I had most of my villains very solid tournament regulars, with huge lifetimes winnings, and I can't remember the last time I had a fish at my table(life must be hard for tournament regs). A couple of months ago I had even a 56/2/2 player who had 17.000$ lifetime profits (I still don't understand how he did that). 

I feel like I played the best poker of my life in this tournament. I just 1 tabled it and played 22/18/8 stats at the full ring table (I avoid mixing cash games with tournies at the same time because it makes me play bad in both formats). I was also lucky to win 4 flips and have a couple of my big hands hold in all in situations. Usually I just bust by having villain suck out on me (after investing a couple of hours in a tourney), reason why I hate mtt's. The 16k$ would have been a lot of money for me (80% of my bankroll), but I could not have received them in cash anyway. I had to play the PCA2013 main event, and it would have most likely been a -ROI tournament for me, given the high stakes regs/fish ratio that is in the PCA. 

In my last hand I had 11bb (was in 24th place) and I unexploitably shoved 55 from UTG+1 and UTG+2 made a slightly unprofitable call with A9s (if he considered that I was shoving the unexploitable range he had to call me with ATs+ to break even - I was shoving a bit tighter than the unexploitable range, just given ICM, the prizes at stake and my edge over the field and my decent position 24th out of 57remaining players). The guy that busted me got prepelled to 10th place and went on to win the package. This was my best result so far on stars, but not my best in online poker. Here are the rest of my good mtt results so far (considering the player field):

• 1st/1200 players in a 888 1000$ freeroll = 220$;
• 2nd/5.676 players in a party poker 3.000$ freeroll = 180$;
• 17th/22.603 players in a party poker 100k$ freeroll = 180$;
• 611th/10.107 players in the pokerstars WCOOP-03 2011 215$ event = 565.99$.
